|Syracuse NY: Issa is an energetic, 2-3yr Canaan dog with a Husky tail:), very friendly, playful, and extremely smart. She loves going for walks (walks well on leash), playing tug-of-war and “soccer,” and is terrific with other playful active dogs. She is crate-trained, house-trained, and knows basic commands. She really seems to exemplify the characteristics of Canaan dogs, so please research the breed if you are considering adopting her.
Issa came to the US from Jordan May 2018, is up-to-date on all shots and routine medications, was spayed in July, and has no ongoing health issues. Issa needs a good amount of exercise each day, in addition to walks to do her business. As a Canaan dog, Issa is territorial and protective of her home and her family. She is a serious chewer, so you’re going to want some tough toys to keep her entertained. Issa loves to be pet and especially loves belly rubs (she’d have you rub her belly for hours if she could). A home w/ yard and a doggy playmate are necessary (NOT a city dog) and yes she loves children, but would be better with older children as she as strong and energetic! NOT good w/ cats! Musts for ISSA: an experienced home with a yard. Please apply if interested.
backstory: Liza now Issa 11month Husky/WSD Canaan baby girl. Her mom was shot by a sub human who got annoyed by her and shot her dead leaving 5 puppies to fend for themselves. Luckily, found love with a nice lady looking to find the best home for her. 3 of her siblings didn’t make it, and only Liza and Lucy came to the USA providing an adopter was found, but she is proving too much dog for them. Fully vaccinated, microchipped and takes her deworming and flea meds regularly.

Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, you can always donate!
